Editora Trinta Zero Nove (ETZN – named after September 30, International Translation Day) is a black woman-owned, independent micro publisher based in Maputo, Mozambique. It is the first Mozambican Publishing House dedicated to literary translation, and to publish audiobooks. ETZN is committed to publishing in local languages, to be innovative and inclusive in its mission to, among others, reach new readers by offering books at an affordable price that are accessible to people with disabilities. Recipients of the London Book Fair International Excellence for Literary Translation Initiatives Award in 2021, and the BOP Children’s Books Publisher of the Year in Africa in 2023, in addition to being finalists of the Jabuti Award in Brazil.
